Erin joined RootED in 2022 as the Communications Manager, a role that highlights the impactful work taking place across Denver’s education landscape and supports the communications efforts of RootED’s partners.

Prior to joining RootED, Erin worked for many years in Denver Public Schools in various roles related to parent and community engagement at Place Bridge Academy, a magnet school for refugee and immigrant students, and most recently in the DPS Communications department, where she supported efforts related to the district’s bond and mill levy investments. She has also worked in both program and communications roles at several local and national nonprofits, including Action for Healthy Kids, Big City Mountaineers and Hunger Free Colorado.

Erin is a native of northern Colorado and holds a degree in English from Lake Forest College with a Communications minor. She is also the parent of two DPS students. She is inspired by The Wizard of Oz quote: “You’ve always had the power…you just had to learn it for yourself.”
