Montbello Organizing Committee (MOC) organizes food distribution during pandemic

Community Identifies Need

The Montbello Organizing Committee (MOC) received reports of many neighbors losing jobs during the pandemic. Parents trying to help their children with new remote learning protocols were also facing the prospect of having no money to pay rent or buy food.

Partner Response

MOC is committed to empowering community voice through economic development, healthy food access and equitable education for all students.

Impact

MOC’s is now distributing food to hundreds of families every two weeks. These efforts have been covered by CBS4, 9News, Fox31, and The Denver Channel.
